Christmas isn’t really Christmas without good food, carols, and a good old family photo. Sometimes that photo includes our furry friends too. If you have kids it’s bad enough trying to get them to sit still or not cry during a photo, imagine what it’d be like to do the same for pets. Dogs' attention spans are really short, they don’t like certain people and they can get impatient when told to sit for too long. Let's dive into checking out these special Christmas photos that were supposed to be nice, but then the family weirdo dog showed up and made it even nicer.
Smile
Usually, family gatherings entail some fun and occasionally a bit of dispute. But for this family, the dogs seemed to cover the disputed part. This Christmas photo was completed with two vicious dogs. Not only did they not want to partake in the photo, but they thought it would be the best time to have a go at one another. We guess they took “smile for the camera” a bit too seriously.
As for the guy who is all too happy to be in the middle of this, he is lucky his face didn’t become the chew toy between the two dogs.
The Eyes
We have all seen it before, that one kid that is always scared of Santa, but this, this is a first. This poor dog looks like he is screaming “help me” or “I’ve seen some things” with his eyes. Maybe it was the shade of this checkered Christmas throw that put him off more than Santa. But to be fair, Santa does not really look like he knows what he is doing either.
For Christmas photos, maybe we should just stick to traumatizing the kids with photos with Father Christmas rather than the dogs. Cause this one really looks like he can’t handle it.
Sass
Well, this is definitely a way to get your mom off your back next Christmas when she asks for a picture of the dog for the Christmas card. Do you think dressing dogs up counts as animal abuse? Because if you do not think so, I definitely think this dog will disagree. Just imagine the look on your family’s faces when they receive this card though, not a very Merry sight.
At least there is something to laugh about over Christmas time for this family. Maybe they can try dressing him up again just for a little bit of sass around the house.
Kung Fu
While looking at this hilarious Christmas photo, you can’t help but sing “Everybody was Kung Fu fighting” along with it. So far, this Christmas photo has the most to offer. A dog kick to the face, while that same dog looks completely unfazed, another dog who definitely looks like he is laughing, and two humans who instantly regret their choice to add the furry ones to this year’s Christmas photo.
If this couple was trying to take a cool Christmas photo, let’s just say, they did just that. No one else could ever say that their Christmas photo was as entertaining as this one.
Imitation
Did this family just imitate the dog or did the dog imitate the family? Who knows, but it made for a great photo. The only thing they are missing is the Christmas part of the photo. Hats, nope; tinsel, nope; droopy-mouthed dog, yeah! Maybe this family's aim was to express what they felt about Christmas and if that is the case, they did a pretty good job doing it.
This family photo would not have been much better without the dog though. He definitely added some cuteness and a good giggle too. We don’t really think he ruined this one for them.
Perfect Smile
This is one of the best photobomb photos you will ever see. However, is this cute pup photobombing their photo, or is the family just photobombing his photo, because his cute little smile is telling us that they just tried to ruin his photo. Luckily for this family, there was only one face that was sort of blocked out, and other than that this is a pretty cute family photo.
If all dogs could look as cute as this one, then they can definitely try and ruin any family Christmas photos. With a wagging tail and an almost perfect smile, who wouldn’t agree with us?
Cats And Dogs
Everything could have been a lot more peaceful in this photograph if dogs and cats could just get along. And do not get us wrong, we know some cats and dogs can get along, but in this case, they just really could not. At least for the sake of having a true representation of this family in a photo, this family really did manage to capture that in the best possible way.
Maybe the dog was just upset that he had to wear something and the cat didn’t. We hope this cat wasn’t too traumatized though for the sake of this attempted family photo.
Concern
There is a lot going on here. A slightly crazy child, a hysterically crying child, and a very concerned photobombing dog, what more could a family want for their Christmas photo? We guess this photo does however represent all the emotions we all feel over Christmas time. We all get a little crazy, concerned for the rest of the crazy family, and end it off with a good cry before heading back to work.
This Christmas photo does however teach us how people take things differently. If your dog had to photobomb with concern, would you follow suit with the crying child or the crazy one?
Husky
The huge eyes, the perfect smile and all that fluff just made this photo so much better than it would have been if this cute dog did not jump in. How do dogs photobomb family pictures so well, is there something we are missing? Do they get taught this in puppy school? We also love the attempt that the grandpa at the back made, to still try to get in the photo, but no luck.
This husky really looks like he was preparing for this moment his whole life. His perfectly executed move didn’t ruin the family photo at all, it just gave him one of his best shots.
Attention Grabber
Middle child syndrome is a real thing. The attention grabber crazy sibling that always does some weird stuff. And if you could not tell by the look on the two dogs to the left and the right, this one in the middle must have a serious case of the syndrome. The best part of this photo is how human-like these dogs’ expressions look, you can see them saying “come on, really?”.
These three fluffy pups pulled off the family photo really well for being dogs. The only thing this dog ruined in this picture was the good shot for the other two.
Chaos
Who knew chaos and happiness could be captured so beautifully in a photograph. For this woman to be composing herself so well, while two dogs try and rip each other’s head off, must’ve taken a lot of strength. As for the Christmas photo, we would not suggest this is the one she sends to her family this year unless she crops the dogs out because in this case, they did ruin this one for her.
This women’s Christmas jersey works well with the situation though. The quote is from a chaotic scene of a Christmas movie, maybe just not as chaotic as this situation though.
Dalmatian
Usually, third-time luck works really well, but obviously not when it comes to taking Christmas photos with your Dalmatian. The first picture looks like that could have ended badly, like with the tree plummeting down with the dog. Between the second and last photo though, if you just block out the few minor informalities, like the blur or the fact your face is blocked out, those could be winning photos.
Maybe Dalmations were not cut out for taking cute family Christmas photos. At least we know they are good for ruining them, but in a very cute and funny way.
Poop
There is so much wrong with this picture, yet it is so clever, hilarious, and brilliant too. This family probably attempted to take cute puppy photos for the Christmas card and only came away with one still photo, when the dog was doing its business. For them to turn that into one of the most original Christmas cards anyone would ever get, is brilliant. Hallmark should come and take some notes.
This card would have been the perfect card for 2020 though. It matches perfectly with how a lot of people related to the lockdown, except with some cuteness added too.
Corgi
This would have been one of the best Christmas family photos if it wasn’t for the Corgi on the right. He looks like he is plotting revenge on this family, maybe because of the outfit choice, it wasn’t his good side or they made him miss lunch for this nonsense. It’s always so entertaining when dogs have expressions that are so human-like if only we knew what he was really thinking.
At least the dog on the left put the effort in and stood still with a beautiful pose. But for the snobbish Corgi, he could’ve done his royal cousins proud, but he chose not to.
PG Rated
This family Christmas photo should be captioned, “Going out this Christmas with a PG-rated bang”. These dogs, who have all the time in the world to get their groove on, had to choose the few minutes set aside for family photo time to do so. Did they not think about how it would traumatize the kids, or how this is how they will be looked at for the rest of the year.
At least the family got a good kick out of this situation and it surely does fit in with the most original photos they’ll get. These two dogs ruined the photo, but not the moment.
Queen Corgi
Dogs can be so dramatic, just like this Corgi. It’s like he’s saying “ugh no Jeffery, please don’t make me, I just can’t handle the fame”. What is so interesting is that we would never see the Queen's Corgis act like this, so maybe the other Corgis feel the need to take one for the crazy team. At least for the two guys and the other dog, the photo isn’t too bad.
They just need to work on better timing and preparing the Corgi before photo time. He could probably take a few notes from the other dog for next year’s photo.
Screaming
This is what it looks like when your dog wants to be the star of the show during the yearly Christmas family photo. It is almost like he is screaming stop because the photo is not perfectly to his liking. At least he didn’t block out any of the kids like some of the other dogs have, but he definitely made sure he took up most of the photo space.
This dog is so welcomed in the family that he gets to be in the family photo. And he gets his own stocking, which is lucky for the one who ruined the photo.
Boop
This dog was ready for that photo long before the family was. Christmas should be a happy and joyous time, but everyone at the back looked so miserable. This dog must have thought he would have to add in the happiness element for them. Unless they were grumpy because this was not the first time the dog tried to ruin the photo, but that should still not be an excuse.
Hopefully, the photos that followed after this one looked a bit better. And we hope that they let the dog join them as well, just in case someone was still grumpy.
Chunky
It seems like just as some people don’t like to be picked up, neither do some dogs. The poor look in his eyes just makes us want to jump right in there and save him. Why would someone pick up a dog for a photo when they’re a bit on the chunky side? There is nothing worse than having your fat lumps squished between someone’s hands, so we get why this dog didn’t look happy.
For the sake of the photo and the embarrassment caused to his poor puppy, we hope his owner gave him lots of treats. And then a brisk walk afterward to burn them off a bit.
Timing
Timing is everything, and this timing was definitely off. If your dog wanders off during the family photoshoot, would you not think the photographer could find a better way to incorporate the dog rather than it just being in the background doing its business? For this situation it seems like it would be fitting to say the photographer ruined the photo, the dog was just being used to do so.
We know that if you gotta go, you gotta go, but hopefully, this family found it humorous and eventually managed to get some share-worthy photos. For the family that is, not the internet.
Wrapping Paper
Well, can this family explain to us how this Christmas photo was supposed to be nice? Whether it is excitement or rage, this dog really didn’t sign up for the “nice” side of Christmas photos. Is there really any other way one should be opening their Christmas presents, and this is a dog we talking about. He probably wasn’t even bothered about what was inside, because scratching the wrapping paper is just as exciting.
Luckily for the family, this picture allows them to have something to use for their Christmas and Halloween cards. That is such a bonus which they can thank their dog for.
Poses
This dog did not ruin anything here. Teaching him poses was probably one of the best things this woman could do because now her photos are filled with love and cuteness. This dog’s naturally looking embrace almost looks like he just also wanted to be part of the photos, but like a model who is trying to act natural. He was so good at doing so, he never looked directly into the camera.
This cute dog won this one at least because at the end of it he got some cuddles. It’s the least she could give him after posing so beautifully for a few other photos.
Jersey
We think it is really cute when people include their pets in Christmas gifts. Spoiling them with new toys, snacking treats, or maybe a new bed is something they will surely appreciate. But, a Christmas jersey might not have the same reaction as we can tell from the look on this poor dog’s face. He is probably thinking “why do I also have to look like a clown and wear a Christmas sweater…”
With all those other gifts still under the tree, there should be something else in store for him which would cheer him up. If not, we bet that jersey won’t stay on very long.
Few Snaps
Dog’s can get overly excited very quickly, especially when there are lots of people around. During family celebrations, especially when the meal is served, it’s normal for people to put their dogs outside to calm down. In most cases, they do, but in this case, this dog had other ideas to get the family’s attention. We can’t make out whether he is trying to bite the door open or just licking the glass though.
Whatever it is that he’s doing, he surely did add something interesting to the photo. We wonder if this actually led to him being let in again, after getting a few snaps first of course.
The Eye
We have seen a few dogs who have photobombed photos, but this is the first where the dog managed to not block anyone out. It is a great family photo just with a slightly blurry cute pup face on the side. It’s interesting that these dogs manage to photobomb a lot of photos, maybe it is the self-timer beep that gets them interested and in turn gets your family photos ruined.
We’re just happy to see that this happy family seemed to enjoy this photobomb and we don’t think they felt like their photo was ruined. How could they have such a cute nose upfront?
Lights
If you had to take dogs, add a little Christmas and some dragons in, then this is what it would look like. Somehow this dog managed to get all twisted up in Christmas lights (probably from playing near the Christmas tree), and while the family tried to get a picture of that, he yawned just at the right time and spot for it to look like he was breathing fire.
People who love mythical things probably love this photo just for the fire-breathing aspect of it. And for those who love Christmas, they can just enjoy it for what it is.
Too Much
There is far too much going on in these photos for us to really say who could have actually ruined them. The first one is obvious because again, these dogs seem to think photo time is the best humping time. The second photo looks like the dog is just flashing his bits to the couple and the last one he picks to start a fight. Maybe that dog needs some therapy.
Out of all of them, we feel sorry for the white dog. He looks like he just wants to be normal, with a normal family. But with the other two, it’s not possible.
Donut
Poor Donut, he probably just wanted to be put back down where he wouldn’t look like an incapable dog. He didn’t really ruin the photo, but he definitely wasn’t impressed to be in it either. He also has such human-like eyes, it’s scary but shouldn’t mean the mom treats him like a human. Donut could also join the few dogs who look like they are plotting something, like maybe a name change or revenge?
This probably isn’t the first time Donut has had to sit like this for a photo and he’s thinking, “oh boy, here we go again”. Sorry Donut, hopefully, the next photo will be less daunting.
First
You got the whole damn family there and couldn’t make space to include the dog? Well no problem, he will just include himself. Pet photobombs are the best kind, especially when the dog has some attitude in his face too like he knows exactly what he’s doing. This is a massive family too and it does seem unfair on the dog’s behalf that he was not included in the picture in the first place.
The family should have used this photo as their final one just as an apology to the dog. At least he knows where his place is and he made it very clear to them too.
Different
Doing something different for the Christmas photo is great, especially for the countries which have Christmas in the summer. But when you add a dog to the mix on a beach with a driftwood tree, something is bound to happen. Marking his territory is just a must. It was either that or he pulled the whole tree down just for the collection of sticks he would have to play with.
Between the dog and the crying kid, the photo is far from perfect, but completely realistic. When a dog is in the open, they’re gonna do what they want to, regardless of your photo plans.
Business
There is no worse time or place than this for a dog to choose to dop some business. During the family Christmas photo, inside the house, on the beige carpet, why? The only explanation for this would be that this poor dog was forced to stay inside for the family photo, and well, dogs can not hold it in like us humans can, especially not just for a simple photo.
You can see the look on the middle lady’s face as she’s just realized what’s happening and instantly regrets keeping the dog in for this. The things people do for the perfect photo.
Personal Space
There should be a rule that if your pets don’t get along, you don’t put them close to each other. It’s not really the dog’s fault that this had happened because one of them would have had to eventually lose it to win the spot alone on her lap. People who own cats should know they are very controlling and independent beings, and adding a dog into their personal space will end up badly.
At least for these pets, they did not have to be dressed up first in some Christmas pet gear before the photo. Imagine how it would have turned out then?
Boxer
This dog could either be singing out a Christmas carol, overdoing it on the smiling, or the most likely option, being very dramatic. He probably did not want to wear the antlers for his photo and as payback flipped out in a dramatic cry to ruin the family photo. We do not blame the boxer though, he would have looked much cuter with the elf ears or Santa hat on.
This Christmas picture is not that bad though, it is probably one of the best ones we have seen. But with some slight changes from the dog’s side, it could have been perfect.
The Show
What is it with these dogs who get all crazy when the camera comes out? All this family wanted was a nice fully rounded family photo with everyone in it and the dogs had to steal the show. Maybe it is time that these dogs that are not neutered should not be put next to females during Christmas photos so that situations like this can be avoided, for the sake of the family photos.
Luckily, this is the last photobombing dog humping we will see. There have been far too many of them and these dogs should really think about what they have done.
Jealous Dog
This baby’s first Christmas photo was ruined by the jealous dog who still wants to have all of the attention. He has obviously not come to terms with the fact that this little human is now the new baby in the house and his owners give all their love and time to him now. If he just covers up the little person with his bum, they won’t even notice he is gone.
It’s just like an elf on a shelf, except more like a dog on a baby. The owners of this dog should just keep an eye out because the look in his eyes is worrying.
