When life gives you lemons, you either make lemonade or if you like most people with some brilliant power moves, add some salt a tequila and have a good time. We should all know by now that life can be full of surprises, so why not make the most of them rather than beat them down. Whether it is bargaining with chicken nuggets, being a sassy dad, a petty ex-girlfriend, or just a downright genius in the making, power moves are here for the win. Take a look at some of these bosses and their power moves, you might learn a thing or two.
Personal Hero
When you don’t follow the rules, but also follow the rules at the same time, that's a proper power move. This girl who handed in Sonic The Hedgehog as every art assignment was not “not” doing what she was told, but doing it in her own way while still kind of doing what she was told to. It was the best way for her to not be conformed to her artistic abilities.
And just as a final power move, the girl did a mosaic Sonic The Hedgehog which we bet looked amazing, and the teacher probably wanted to throw it against a wall.
Smart Dad
Kids can be exhausting sometimes, especially if parents have more than one of them, so it is only fair to say the parents also need nap time sometimes. This dad managed to crack the code to both be a decent parent, and also get his much-needed me time by letting his three little munchkins challenge each other in a drawing contest while he got in some much-needed rest for himself.
This was a brilliant power move by this dad and he has defiantly given many other parents the idea, so they too can get some well-deserved rest from their children.
Unplugged
Power moves, just like this one presented in the comment section, are a great lesson to all, that power moves can be something that comes back to bite you later in life. Although most likely not to really happen, we are 100% sure that any gamer would be able to relate to this and feel exactly the same about their game being interrupted by a pretty girl unplugging them mid-game.
It also seems grudges are a good point of reference for power moves. Whether you’re someone who can’t hold a grudge for long, or can, there is always space for a payback power move.

We all have to admit that we love seeing a little bit of online drama which includes people being blatantly called out for things they did wrong. Here, Jeri was the one to do so with her boss power move of calling out the women who her husband cheated on her with. And we love it. If you are the reason why someone's marriage broke up, you should not be sharing sentimental wedding posts.
The woman who pinned the post should have known that someone was going to come for her, we just don’t think she expected it to be Jeri, and so public.
Pens
Sometimes the simplest things in life are the things that get people most confused, like not losing your pen before the ink is finished. This poor person in the comment section got the truth handed to her and she did not like the way she felt because of it. It is just that simple, don’t be the person who doesn’t take care of their things and then ask how other people don’t lose their things.
We can safely say that power moves are just as simple as a response to a silly question, depending on who is asking of course. That makes a big difference to how it's taken.
Ed Sheeran
Fugitive alert? It should rather say “Clever Con Man on the Run” because, for the people who really believed this was Ed Sheran, they were the ones who got played, not Ronnie. We don’t condone scamming people for money, but if someone lives so far under a rock they can not tell the difference between Ronnie and Ed Sheran, then it is kind of difficult to feel sorry for them.
This was a really good power move, not a legal one, but still pretty good. They had one thing right, he had fallen on tough times, but that was Ronnie, not Ed.
Omg
Born from embarrassing dads are sassy moody daughters who hate everything their typical dad does. To get back at his daughter with an attitude, this dad responded the best way to her messages, with a simple “omg”, because we all know any young teen uses “omg” far too much. The best part about this was when the dad added “omg no”, it was the cherry on top of the cake.
The daughter tried to win this one though by saying she would tell mom, but we bet mom was right next to dad while he was texting her with the same responses she would have.
Tears of Joy
Twitter Books was just trying to create a conversational post when one person gave the answer of all answers. We doubt any other comment would even be relevant after this person posted that the book that made them cry was one of their university books. To add to this fantastic response, Roger went and made it even better with a sarcastic comment about the tears being of joy from reading that book.
One way to shut people down is to do it with a little bit of truth and humor. We’re sure that textbook made that person cry, but at least we get to laugh about it.
Passwords
We know by now that power moves can be something people do later on. Like they savor the moment to use it at the perfect time. Just like this girl who was kind enough to let her ex still have access to her Netflix account, until a national lockdown hit. That seemed to be the best time to change her password so her ex could no longer have access to it.
It’s cruel, but genius. If someone hurts you, why not take away the one thing you have control over at the time when they need it most. Sounds like a good payback to us.
Keeps Promises
When people test other people, sometimes it does not go the way that they thought it would. That is what happened to this guy, whose name we will not know because much to his surprise he got more than enough upvotes and had to delete his account. Doing this for likes that people doubt they will get, makes other people want it to happen and in turn, proves them wrong.
A power move from one person is one thing, but when a community gets involved and collectively pulls a power move on someone then you must know you’re gonna get served.
Settigns
If you are not pulling moves on someone who has access to your Netflix, then someone on your Netflix is pulling moves on you. This guy could not even be mad because he was completely conned by his brother's ex-girlfriend by believing her trap. By making your profile look like a settings tab, there is no way you would be caught out too quickly that you are using someone else's Netflix.
Our brains only see the things they want to and by using that to her advantage, this ex-girlfriend got free reign to the family Netflix for two months. What a win.
Dumpster Water
Justin O really tried to stand up for his favorite fast food place, but Wendy’s proved that their Twitter feed was not the place to do so. They’ve got one answer after another lined up.
Kids Meal
It is no surprise to the rest of the world that in the US they serve a heaps amount of food, usually doused in oil and salt. So when Andrew not only joked about having to order off the kid's menu but actually did order off the kid's menu to see the size difference, he proved the theory right. The amount of food ordered looks like a normal amount that people should be eating.
We would hate to know what the adult size of food looks like and we also feel sorry for kids in the US, their tiny tummies can’t possibly fit that all in.
Duct Tape Magic
Power moves don’t start in adulthood, they are usually at their best when children do them. If there is a problem, kids like to try and find solutions, which are not always conventional, just like this one. Duct taping your brother who ruins everything to a chair is a brilliant power move. It solves the issue and gives the rest of the sibling's peace to continue doing what they were doing.
The only problem with this is that the child will have to come out of that chair at some point and when he does, those Pokemon cards are definitely going to be destroyed.
Revenge Driven Ingenuity
Landlords can be such a pain sometimes, so it is no wonder people who rent from them try and find ways to either get back at them or beat them at their own game. This person's landlord thought it was a smart idea to turn the heat down in freezing conditions, so they came up with their own plan, by switching the stove plates on and having a fan blow the hot air around.
Even though the landlord pays the electricity bill, which is nice, creating a cold environment for his tenants just drove them to think out of the box, which is going to cost him.
Tattoos
We all know someone, if not yourself, whose parents do not like the idea of tattoos. To make things more interactive and meaningful, this guy wanted to get his mom involved in his tattoo choices. Little did she know, he really meant it when he asked her what he should get and pushed back with this hilarious power move by getting the exact text she sent as a response, as his tattoo.
It is a really fun tattoo and is at least a storytelling piece as well. We just bet that mom was not as impressed with it as we might be.
Mommy
Moms can be really pushy when it comes to their children benign single for too long. They get this idea in their heads that they will be able to find their children partners. But, in doing so, they can be ever so slightly embarrassing, just like this mom. This power move got her to ask this guy a few questions, and then secretly take a picture of him too to share with her single daughter.
Why else would her mom be going to the dog park if not to look for a handsome young man for her daughter? Moms, you just can’t be mad at them for trying.
USSR Dirty Tactics
Children have done it again, except we are not sure it was completely the children pulling power moves for this one. This carved US Seal hung on the ambassador's wall for 7 years with a listening device in it, and no one picked it up because children were used to present it to them. The Soviet school children could not have known about the listening device though and must have been a cover-up.
We can just imagine though the things that were heard in that listening device and how many other kinds of gestures like this have also been filled with the same.
Demanda
This post and all its contents is such a boss move from this woman Demanda. Although it was a toxic sugar baby and sugar daddy relationship, this woman really seemed to have it all together for herself regardless of what he had done for her. She called him out but also tried to make it nice by thanking him and then threw in a complete curveball by asking him not to haunt her again.
This was a power move post with a few power moves in it as well. We hope he doesn’t shunt he again, because then he’ll be the one with the power moves, not her.
John Denver
Sharing lyrics back and forth via text is something many people are using nowadays to entertain themselves until it has a twist just like this conversation. If your pickup line makes it as a power move, then you should know you are making it in life. Usually, pickup lines are corny and stupid, but this one was just brilliant and it looked like it might have worked for the couple too.
This guy is really winning at life and we only wish we could see more of his pickup line power moves and know if they actually work out for him in the end.
Favorite Books
We know there is a big handful of people who just don’t enjoy reading and they usually make it quite known that they are not fans of pages and words. These kids got asked what their favorite books are and number 4 had the funniest answer, “The Chipotle Employee Handbook”. It was such a bold move to say that but leaves everyone laughing because we can just imagine the personality to match the answer.
The cheeky kid obviously has a parent that works there or just happened to find the book somewhere and took a liking to it better than normal books with normal stories.
Male to Male
When you sell or buy products online, you are bound to either meet scammers who take advantage. This guy seemed like the real deal though and got some backlash from a potential buyer who suspected him to be a Nigerian scammer. But the way he replied back to this guy was the ultimate power move. If he’s going to report him then he’ll just post his number in male-to-male encounters.
It was a quick and hilarious response and most likely made the guy worry a little about where his number was going to come up and who would get hold of it.
McNuggets
When it comes to bargaining a good deal on something you want to buy online, people really do try everything to get the best deal. But this deal has to be the best one we have ever seen. Who wouldn’t want to get a 10-piece McNugget as an extra added gain when selling their goods. This person had a boss power move and it was so beneficial to him in the end.
The buyer also thought it was brilliant and took the deal while still being kind enough to ask what kind of sauce the seller would want with his 10 nuggets.
#ChilisLove
When businesses get on board with jokes or stories, it always makes the situation seem so much more meaningful. But Chili’s Grill & Bar just went a step further, pulled out all the stops, and threw out the best power response to this girl's situation. They created a fake certificate saying she worked there and then still added in a few extra parts which would help with the kids listening to her.
Chili’s was the real champs here, because not only did Bella not hurt the kid's feelings, but neither did Chili’s, and that is a pretty good power move right there.
Toilet Paper
This poor guy got it handed to him by his ex and her kind of cruel power move. People should know not to trust their exes after a breakup, especially if they still feel hurt and pretend to miss you. This guy's ex not only left him hanging after asking to see him, but she also left him without and loo paper and that is a bit worse than being ditched.
Her main goal was to get there and get back at him, and she did it solidly. A power move we are sure many other exes would make use of.
Evil Genius
This song for this video is called I Disagree by Poppy and it is all kinds of strange. The comment by Rolf may not make much sense but was the best comment to represent how one may feel after listening to this song. The weird comment about toasting your neighbor's bread is about as weird as this is and that's why it just works so well as a power move.
It does not matter whether this person liked the song or not because it was not exactly about liking the song. It was just about matching weird with even weirder.
Mind Your...
The world is filled with strange things that come to the surface on the internet, just like a cube of snow that was spotted somewhere. To make matters even better though, someone created a Twitter account for this cube just so that it could respond for itself. And what better way to do that than to tell people to mind their own business as if the cube was saying so itself.
Having a random cube in your town might not go down so well with everyone, so someone had to be the one to make a power move and lets the cube just be.
Mike Check
Sound checks can be so boring, with the same old same old 1 2 3 check and clicking sounds. But, one guy had a better idea and pulled his power move properly at the school talent show by asking all the Micheals to stand up to conclude his Mike check. If the Michaels could hear their name then the mic was working just fine. What better way is there to do a sound check?
It takes some guts to try things like this at school talent shows because someone could not have found it that funny and would have thrown his power move out.
Bread
When trying to get a girl, men usually pull out all the stops, even if that means doing something you didn’t think you would enjoy. This guy decided to try baking so that he could have something in common with the girl he likes and turns out he really enjoyed it, enough to not even want to see the girl anymore. It was a power move with a double win.
Not only could he still get the girl if he wanted to, but he now has a really cool skill that gets him fresh bread whenever he feels like it.
Not That Hard
When decorating your house, it is usually best to let the women do the choosing, or else you’ll land up with something like this wife has. She truly did believe that it would be hard to get a terrible coffee table, but her husband had other plans. He worked really hard to find the worse coffee table just to pull a spitful power move on his wife, proving her wrong.
The coffee table wasn’t that bad, but will most definitely not go with any kind of theme. Unless the house is decorated like Africa, then it might work quite nicely.
If It Works It Works
We don’t see many animals pulling off power moves, but when we do, it is all worth the wait. This dog has a unique way of getting attention by biting some furniture while side-eyeing its owner, and well, it works. His aggressive look and threatening furniture bites get him the attention he wants. It's a good thing animals can’t access the internet otherwise they would be stealing this power move to get their way.
We are sure this dog knows there are other ways to get attention, but hey, if your power moves work once, then keep on doing them. As long as it's only for attention.
Clean Clothes
Con artists are far too good at power moves, and we do not think it is a good thing, but we will laugh at them anyway. This shady guy obviously needed to have his dirty clothes washed so why not do so by testing out washing machines that are for sale, but leaving with the clean clothes before paying for the machine. It is so bad, but it is brilliant.
It is a great example of working smarter, not harder, but unfortunately, someone has to be the fool in all of it, and by the looks of things, it won’t be this guy.
Burn
The number neighbor game is quite a fun thing to do but could either leave you texting someone really grumpy or someone with a sense of humor. Or, like in this case, it gets you in contact with a 13-year-old who has some funny sass. When the kid found out that this 23-year-old was playing this silly game, he was not afraid to point that out and tell him straight.
This kid completely owned this 23-year-old and with a power move like that, we should be careful with kids. It's usually them who don’t care very much and say things as they are.
Go Dale
After working 40 years in the same place at some point you would be bound to do something to keep things fun. This teacher, Dale Irby didn’t just do something halfway through his career, but stuck to the same outfit from year one all the way to year 40, knowing quite well it would come out looking like this after all those years. What a power move from a really cool teacher.
The pictures got better, the face got older and the outfit stayed exactly the same. This masterpiece of his 40 photos should be something the school he works at cherishes forever.
Nativity Yoda
Christmas time can start becoming mundane, with the same decorations, same food, and same old traditions. So no wonder this person decided to spice things up this Christmas and added Yoda into the nativity set. The best part was that at the time of posting the picture of it, the person's mom did not notice it and Yoda probably got to spend the whole of Christmas there near the manger looking over Jesus.
Perhaps next year this person will pull the power move again and add something else as well. They should keep adding in figurines until their mom finally notices the new additions.
