Unfortunately, not everyone has the same sense of humor, if only they did we would all get the different types of jokes that are out there. But sometimes people get caught out when posts on the internet have an added hint of a joke and people take it far too seriously than they should and give their opinion on it, making themselves look like idiots. Most of these posts make sense to most people but unfortunately, there are some “how do you not get it” heroes who come along and help the ones who don’t get it. Let’s see which one you fall under.
Game Delay
This post was not a joke, but many didn’t understand the situation at hand. You see, Steve, the sole fan for The Florida Marlins was the only fan who had been at their games every time. He was the one who would start the chants and boo the opposing team. It wasn’t about how many fans had to be in the stadium to start the game, it was just about having Steve there.
The team had waited over an hour, doing research on where he could be after he didn’t answer his phone. The guy who commented on the post obviously didn’t read the full article.
FDA Ban
Jolly Ranchers are still available today and the FDA has obviously not taken them off the shelves. Well a funny situation, we sure Jolly Racher fans who don’t read had a massive panic.
The Chicken
It can not get better than this person being called out as an idiot and then proving it by not getting the joke. It really doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get this joke, and that's what makes this whole situation even funnier. The way this person even ended off the joke with “The chicken who” just adds even more humor to the situation, like how did he not get it?
I guess we have to understand that some people don’t have any sense of humor, which is okay, because those who do get it, get an extra kick out of their lack of understanding humor.
Four Year Old
We truly feel for this person who posted the first comment, because it clearly shows us that they have no understanding of satire at all. If you, like this person did not get it, we will help you understand. This dad has obviously made up the text in this post to prove the point of how parents make up things that their kids say and then post it on social media for likes.
And obviously a 4-year-old can not speak this high level of English just as this dad has said which is the whole point of the post. Still don’t get it? We can’t help you then.
Complain
Calling someone stupid is not nice, but let's just be honest here, this girl deserved it. This guy was innocently just trying to compliment this girl on how hot she was, but her lack of intelligence and lack of humor understanding just threw the hotness out the window. All she understood out of that whole compliment was the complaint part and the rest of it just went straight over her head.
Just as this guy has shown, a girl can be hot but the second they show their lack of intelligence, guys are not interested. If only she got the compliment.
B Positive
This is quite a good joke, to be honest, but then there has to be that one person who ruins it by typing out the realistic version of the joke instead of just getting the joke and leaving it be. Obviously, everyone who has an understanding of satire would get that his blood type was B+, but if it was typed as such, there would be no joke to go along with it.
Many jokes are made from the way the words are typed or understood, and if people don’t get that, then they shouldn’t say anything, because just like this person, it makes them look stupid.
Those Dols
Puns are the essence of many great jokes but the sad truth is that there are too many people who can not understand what a pun is in a joking situation. They may get jokes, but when a pun is added in, it completely just throws the whole situation out of their heads. For this one, a Russian doll is a bunch of dolls stacked inside each other, making them filled with themselves.
The person who said, “Is this an inside joke” obviously took it too literally like Russian women are full of themselves in a literal sense. Hopefully, someone explained it to them.
Smart
These posts just keep getting better and better. This poor girl is obviously not as smart as she thinks she is because this is probably one of the easiest and oldest jokes around and still she did not get it. It just made it even funnier when she said she was pretty smart, which obviously we can tell she is not. Perhaps her smartness stops at logic and humor is not her strong suit.
We can’t really blame her for not getting it though because her answer wasn’t completely wrong, but it was wrong enough to not get the joke and that's what counts.
Color Blind
This joke may take some people a second to get, but once you get it, it's actually brilliant. We should all know the saying “out of the blue”, but as this person stated they are colored blind, the pun to go with it would make sense to add in the wrong color block. If the person was colored blind, they may think this orange block is blue when it obviously is not.
And that is what makes this brilliant. But of course, the person who commented did not get it and just ruin the whole joke for everyone else. What a pity.
Shelf
Another joke that has been ruined by someone who doesn't understands how puns work. We should understand by now that people either get them or they don’t, there is no in-between. Books obviously go on shelves and that is what makes this punny joke what it is. For the person who tried to correct the joke by using the “correct” spelling of “self”, maybe just stay away from commenting on things you don’t get.
The last comment is just an accurate depiction of how everyone who got the joke felt after reading the first comment. What more could one do other than a facepalm reaction.
Quotes
Don’t you just hate it when people come along to ruin some pretty good jokes? Yeah, us too. Obviously, anyone with a sense of humor would know that this quote is not true, because we all know that there was no internet when Abraham Lincoln was alive. But it does not mean we go ahead and ruin it by stating the obvious because then it would not be a joke.
The whole point of the joke is for it not to be true because that is what it is stating. It's a double whammy because it makes sense by not making sense.
Bones
Anyone in the scientist field or alike doesn’t often have a very good sense of humor, which is only because their minds are far too logical to apprehend humor, it’s not their fault. However, this astrophysicist gave it a go and actually brought on a good amount of satire in his joke. Until one anonymous party pooper came along and ruined it for them by getting far too technical because they didn’t get the joke.
It's people like anonymous who just give more humor to situations like this because on top of something funny, we get to see some ridiculous stupidity too just because that person can’t take a joke.
Make Fun of Florida
The hand full of people who commented on this post are the greatest example of what happens when people do not read the full context of situations, which usually have the added information needed to get some jokes. The people who commented that they couldn’t believe that was the most-used words used, they should’ve read the part that says “based on something something search data”. We’re also rolling our eyes.
The best part of the map would most likely be the Florida word because that one is most likely the most honest one out of the joke here. At least one person got it.
Amusement Park
People love posting reviews for businesses with an added touch of amusement based on a completely unrealistic situation but would make sense if you just had a hint of humor. This review of a laundromat was done from the point of view as if the person seeing the washing machine as an amusement park ride, like how the clothing must feel after a wash cycle. But the owner didn’t get it.
The owner's response showed us how unamused he was by this review and obviously does not have a sense of humor strong enough to just have gone along with it.
Running
Finding out the origins of many normal habits we have can sometimes come with quite a shock, and sometimes with a dash of great humor to make the situations seem almost believable. Anyone would know running was not an “invention” although perhaps the word only came around later, it's always been a thing. But the person who commented was a bit too slow to the humor party and just made themselves look like an idiot.
We only wished in the rush of their joke ruining that they would of at least spelled their words correctly. Because it doesn’t help their situation of trying to ruin a good joke.
Caesar
Sorry to burst the bubble of the person who wrote the comment, but the only idiot here is you because you ruined a pretty funny joke with your unhumorous ways. For reference to those who did not know, the name of the salad came from 1924 when the owner of the Hotel Cesar invented it. But, this Julius Caeser dying joke is a way better way to think of how it was actually created.
Unlike the rest of us who can take a joke, the person in the comments had to make a point of it not being true, for what? To make themselves look better? We think not.
Count
The joke here does not lie in the post, but rather in the first comment of this post. And then someone had to embarrass themselves by not getting the joke. We just can’t seem to win here. The whole point of the comment which states they never learned to count, using 5 words instead of 4, is what makes the joke a joke. Duh! But poor “insanus.x” could not comprehend this level of humor.
Sometimes jokes lie in the mistakes of words, and if people don’t get it, then there is no way to further explain it. It's just best to leave those people be, in their nonhumorous holes.
Quarterbacks Are Overrated
It seems like anything posted from the site “The Onion” is purely out there to catch people who cannot get a joke, or at least have enough time to read the full article so it would help them get the jokes. But, as we should know, people who are into sports take these things far too seriously, so we cannot expect them to get a joke even if it starred them dead in the face.
The person in the comments may need some more time to realize that their inability to see the humor in completely fake stories is what got them featured here in the first place.
Chuck E. Cheese
People want things cheaper, but at what cost? Well, this fake news story from the beloved fake-news site “The Onion” kind of made a great point on this to make people realize what will happen if things were cheaper. We only wonder if the person who wrote in the comment asking if the article was real was asking because they didn’t get it or because they are part of the few who want things cheaper.
Chuck E. Cheese must’ve been filled with people asking about the lower prices, while not catching on to the still clean restaurants and the normal prices. It’s honestly their own fault.
Japan
There is always that one person trying to be a hero in a completely humorous situation, and although we give him kudos for sticking up for the person in question in the article, he should’ve done a little further diving into the full situation. If a post is coming from a site called “The Hard Times”, whatever follows can not have any factual news, enough to make one believe it's legit.
Like who would actually be made at their friend for not wanting to go to Japan, so much so it becomes a real article. It's not that hard to get now, is it?
Mirror Factory
Now, we may all agree this joke is not a funny one, but most people would get the pun that was intended here. Because mirrors are something we can see ourselves in, right? But poor HickoryStickDaMan did not get it and could not understand why someone would work at a mirror factory, of all places. We do not even know how people do not get things that are so simple to understand.
It's these kinds of people who are left being attacked in comment sections purely because they just can’t get a joke and then still have a point to prove about it.
Pain
The more you read on this post, the more you have yourself in stitches, because it just keeps getting better and better. The post was just so brilliant on its own when because of the sad-looking bread reminding someone of how it is called “pain” in French. And then “littlebabydear” points out the obvious, oblivious to the great joke made, and almost ruins it until the person who posted it, responds in the best way.
Like, “yeah, should have made a joke about the thing that thing I made a joke about”. It’s too funny not to laugh at, and yes, we’re laughing at “littlebabydear”.
Satan
When jokes about satan or satanic things are made, it is without a doubt that a Christain will sniff it out and be there ready to give the best response in the Lord's name. Obviously, this fake news article is meant to be a joke, and even if it wasn’t so what if Starbucks wanted to branch out to other religions. But, miss Christain herself had to come in and protect those against this joke.
If Christians had just given it the time to read into the joke, they would not make themselves look like fools trying to protect people from something that isn’t even real.
TV Recommendations
Another victim to “The Onion’s” trap has been caught out and left looking like a fool because they are just that gullible. Obviously, no one cares about a random man not accepting any more television recommendations anymore, but that’s the fun in his article. It is so unrealistic that it gives people something to laugh about because we could all do it with a little humor every now and then.
It’s people like this one in the comments who must be so miserable with life that they can’t just take a joke or see the humor in silly things. Why they gotta be so serious?
'Merica
This person just got bashed twice as heard because they didn’t get the joke. Firstly giving America a score of 1776 out of 1 and 10, is nothing new for some, we all should know how that works. But when the comment was responded to with another true but funny bashing, it just made it a whole lot more interesting. Anything to do with America being great or freedom should just be left alone.
As for the person embarrassing themselves in the comments about boundaries, well, maybe learn boundaries of how to respond to things that are funny. That way, we can laugh at the jokes and not you.
Facial Features
Realistically, anything that is posted with a likable face would get more likes, it just makes sense. But this article from “the Onion” just pointed out how funny it would be if this were a true situation that would make likes fairer to all, regardless of the faces in posts. But one person didn’t get it of course and just looked silly asking a question on a completely made-up situation for satire.
If someone truly believed that the NCAA would enforce a rule like this, then that is one of them. It also shows you how people would believe anything they saw on social media.
Tesla
Camouflage jokes are ones that have been around for years and will most likely never stop. It's like that one dad joke that won’t ever go away. Once again, the stupidity was shown in the comments, but quite quickly edited to fix it. Luckily this person was open enough to admit his silly mistake, which just added an extra bit of laughter. It’s not often we see people fixing their mistakes.
We doubt this person was not the only one who did not get the first comment as to “what car” it was. But they were at least the ones who redeemed themselves.
Ted
If you have never heard of TED Talks, then you won’t get what's going on here. Someone decided to add some humor by asking when Ted himself would come talk, which most of the people got in comments, except that one. What a way to break a funny chain of comments by ruining it with some boring explanation of what TED actually stands for. We should be asking if he knows it's a joke, right?
But as the comments went on, no one fell for the silly response and just kept on pushing for the response to the joke. Ted can’t hide forever now, can he?
Meteorologist
The person who wrote the post was the one coming out looking like an idiot. The person in the comments made that known, but although the person in the comments also ruined it we left with a bit of confusion around what was actually funny here. We get why the person in the post said what they said, although slightly stupid, that doesn’t mean the person in the comments had to point it out.
It’s posts like these that make us suggest that some people should just not be allowed on the internet. Because their stupidity gets them laughed at even if we can’t help it.
Kinda Messed up
If you didn’t get this brilliant post, then get in line with the guy in the comments. It doesn't take a lot of brain power to work out why the answer to the question in the middle was the first image because anyone who can guess what people say would know what the question would be before being asked it. So yeah, if you don’t get it then the comment makes more sense than the post.
We should’ve known that there would be a handful of people who wouldn’t get this, or perhaps only get it when it was too late. And here we are shaking our heads at those people.
Twin Brothers
The joke for this post lies in the assumption that babies would look somewhat like the mother or the father. But when a guy has a twin brother, he would obviously (not) think his wife was having an affair. It isn’t the greatest joke around, we’ll give it that, but it does not deem enough for the person in the comments to just point out the obvious of the joke without getting the joke.
This joke only makes sense if you too believe that the wife would be having an affair with the twin brother. But like we said, it’s not the funniest thing we’ve seen.
Fortnite
This joke is brilliant on all levels that it exists because the person who commented on the original findings of men who play Fortnite, explained it exactly how it is, without sugar-coating it in a nice way like the headline did. Whether you call them middle-aged men who are married or little boys who ask for mommy’s credit card, it is all the same thing, and that’s what makes this so funny.
When a funny post is made even better, we can’t say that the person who added a funnier comment is stupid, because, without their comment, it would just be a funny post on its own.
Instagram Filters
This quite obviously fake news article caught out one person who is far too gullible to even understand the meaning of the humor behind this. The caption on the post is mostly where the joke lies because by saying it will raise a ton of revenue by adding filters, they are basically saying anyone who believes this nonsense story would try to get caught just because it would add a filter.
And of course, we should know by now that they will be a sour Suzy in the comments moaning about how this will encourage lawbreakers. Yeah, Suzy, that's the joke.
Math Problems
If emotions were a fair answer to math problems, then we would all have passed with flying colors. Whether a post from 20 years ago or 3, we should all be able to understand that this is not at all true and obviously just here to give us all a good laugh at how we would all wish math problems could be answered. And then the self-embarrassing fool gives their 5cents worth.
To the person in the comments, it was not true 3 years ago and not true now. It's time to get with it and know that not everything you see is to be taken literally. It's a joke.
Bluetooth Hose
A little bit of photoshop can go a long way with some pictures. They are usually a great way to see who actually believes things and who is smart enough to find things funny while knowing they are not possible. Imagine we had the technology in the world to have Bluetooth water hoses? And perhaps one day we will, but today is not that day and anyone should know that.
We obviously do not know the person on the other side of this WhatsApp message chain, but they surely cannot believe this picture for what it is. At least we can giggle at them.
