Ever since the days of Stuart Little, the world has looked at mice and hamsters in a different light. You’re either a person who loves them or hates them. But the internet is good at swaying people in a certain direction, and with the many pictures which people have shared of their hamsters, we are sure that if you did not like hamsters before, this amazing collection will make you think differently. From the ways these hamsters sleep to the cute little things they fit in, one of them is bound to make you feel “aww”. Let’s take a look.
Piggly
This cute hamster is Piggly, and his mom so creatively makes his hats. It seems as though he has quite the collection of hats which consist of a Viking helmet, a “Cat in the Hat” hat, a Baby Yoda hat, and quite a few more, like bunny ears and the cookie monster hat. These little hats are made from felt which makes them comfortable and safe for the little hamster to wear.
We are pretty sure that if you have a hamster, your mind is running with all the ideas you can come up with or you’re already scratching around for material to make your own.
Arrow
This is just an ordinary hamster sitting on a couch because if you look closely you can see that the marking on this hamster's forehead looks like an arrow pointing up. It is quite unexplainable but really unique and you can clearly see that it is just part of his fur and not drawn on. We only wonder if you press on it if something great happens that no one is aware of.
At least the kids will always know which way to hold the hamster up, which could potentially be life-saving for this little ball of fur. Because it never ends well with rough kids and hamsters.
Hibernating
Hamsters hibernate in the winters and usually you never really know where they have burrowed themselves within their hamster home. But this cute hamster picked the best spot to make herself a sleeping den, where she could see out if need be and better yet, her human family could see in at all that cuteness. Even her little paws are tucked together neatly as she sleeps comfortably in her fluff den.
The small gap by the glass also provides her with some cool air. But that means nothing compared to the fact that people can see in while she sleeps sweetly.
Sombrero
If Puss in Boots had a sidekick, this Hamster in a sombrero could be it. This guy's gran knitted his hamster a cute little sombrero to wear making him look like a little Mexican mouse. The hamster does look quite comfortable wearing it as he lies in the guy's hands with his chin rested calmly. The wool from the hat must feel soft and comforting, so he probably doesn’t mind being dressed up with it.
It seems as though dressing up hamsters is quite a common thing, and by dressing up, we mean placing cute hats on them to make them feel even more special.
Dollhouse
Giving a hamster a dollhouse with props could be one of the greatest ideas ever because you could see scenes just like these. The first hamster looks like he works behind the bar, serving up a decent carafe of wine, waiting to take your next order. The second hamster looks like he is prepping some fish at a Chinese restaurant, all he is missing is a Chinese chef headband.
They suit the roles so well and it's incredible how entertaining it could be putting hamsters in real-life situations, just with dollhouse props. And you thought they couldn’t get any cuter.
Furball
You know that tired feeling you get after eating a meal, well this hamster knows that all too well too. This stuffed furball fell asleep on a treat he was busy munching on. And we can tell him by the way his face is all chubby from storing the treat away. Sleeping on treats is also a great way to make sure no one else can take them or eat from them.
And the extra bonus to this is that as soon as he wakes up, he can continue eating from where the left off, so no need to move much either.
Sherman
This hamster's owner had the same idea as the others, to take a picture of him in a dollhouse, only, that this did not quite go as planned. Sherman, the hamster, fell off the level they were photographing on, onto the level below in the dollhouse and now we are left with this upside-down, face-planted, bum in the air picture of a hamster. You can not help but laugh at it though.
Sherman was okay after this, but we doubt he will be open to taking any more pictures in the dollhouse. As cute as it may look, the embarrassment must still be lingering in his mind.
Contemplating
We are not quite sure what this hamster is going through but we are people sure a lot of people can relate. Either he is contemplating life, or exhausted from playing with all the toys he has available to him in his hamster cage, whatever it is though, we can tell it's tough. It's weird for a hamster to be sitting like this though, which just adds to the dramatics of his stance.
We have probably all looked something like this hamster once in our life, either after a heavy night out, or when we sit in disbelief at the ways of adulting.
Chubber
Hamsters can be very inquisitive, especially when there are snacks lying around, that is why Chubber the hamster got to join his family for dinner properly instead of snooping around for scraps. He even got given his own dinner plate and seat at the table with some small cut-up green beans to much on. It is truly the significance of family time shown right here and how pets are family too.
For those who think this is unhygienic, wait until you get your own family hamster, we bet yours will have an apron on and seat for their dinner time too.
Rough Night Out
The way hamsters drink water is quite fascinating, but this hamster makes it look bad for the other hamster. It is almost like he is trying to get some water after a rough night out, lying on his back, legs in the air, and holding on for dear life to slurp some of the water out. It is not the best way to drink water, but if it works for him, we won’t judge.
We guess hamsters have very mundane repetitive lives, so they need to do things to spice things up, and drinking water this way must be his way of doing that.
IKEA
This little guy's name is Bao Bao and he fits right into the tiny IKEA bags. We knew you could get almost anything at IKEA, but little bags you can pop your pet hamsters into is a new thing. Bao Bao looks very happy in his bag and they would work perfectly for when you want to bring your pet hamster to the store with you in case he wants to pick out some treats.
The only problem with these bags is that if you have a rebellious hamster, you could lose him if he jumps out while shopping. And that would not be great.
Bruce
Hamsters are known for sleeping in, on, and around weird things or in weird positions, but this hamster, Bruce, takes the cake for the weirdest spot to sleep. He seemed to have lost his playful energy while climbing on the hamster cage and took a nap right there and then, hanging on just by the weight of his chubby tummy. How on earth could this be at all comfortable for him?
We would love to know how long he slept like that and if it really served its purpose for a good rest. If we hang in there, perhaps one day, we’ll find out.
Chubby Tummies
Most hamsters have those cute chubby tummies and usually stuffed cheeks, but even with the hamster wheels and other toys, we doubt they want to lose any weight. This pet hamster got given a tiny vegetable gym, but only because he hated exercising. Not like the radish a celery weights and carrot and corn treadmill would help him lose weight, but at least it provides a healthy snack to munch on.
If this hamster could pick up weights, we are sure that it would be one of the cutest things we would ever see. Although this vegetable equipment for him is also pretty cute.
Cannon Game
Hamster peek-a-boo featuring some whiskers and one stuffed cheek and paw. If you didn’t know this, hamsters actually love toilet rolls. They are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment for them. But don’t think this hamster got the memo that you should run in them for fun and avoid them if you are over a certain weight size to avoid getting trapped and looking just like this one while trying to come out.
While he may have been playing some sort of cannon game, we doubt his full cheeks would both make it out in one go. Instead, we get to enjoy this cuteness of his perkiness.
Godfather
Here we have the Godfather hamster, prepared for his gang meeting to cause some trouble. His beady, squinting eyes and hands suspiciously together gave him away completely. Not to mention being in a safety box which allows him to escape if anyone decided to shoot. Hamsters can have such personalities and this scheming one would be difficult not to find suspicious, whoever his owners are, we’d suggest you watch your back.
Although we can joke about this, he probably was really scheming how loud he should run on the hamster wheel once everyone is in their deepest sleep, because they can be evil like that.
Glue Trap
This is the difference between the same hamster 22 days apart. The first picture is of the day he was rescued from a glue trap, one of the cruelest mice traps around. He was completely starved and drained. But over the 22 days of recovery, with some love and care, he landed up looking like one of the cutest hamsters we have ever seen. You would never have guessed these two were the same hamster.
It is hard not to feel sorry for these little creatures when they just look so darn cute and fluffy and stare at you with those “pity me” beady eyes.
Voluptuous
Here is one of the chunkiest and happiest hamsters we have ever seen and he obviously just loves the camera far too much. When the cameraman said “say cheese” he got the instruction done perfectly. Or perhaps he thought the photographer said “here’s cheese” and his chubby self just lit up at the thought of more treats to add to his voluptuous furry body. And who wouldn’t give him snacks after that?
If only hamsters were big enough to cuddle tightly with, then this happy one would be the best one to snuggle up against. After sharing some cheesy treats of course.
Hats
We are back to the hamster hats and they just keep getting better. This adorable white fur hamster got given a white beanie for his birthday and by the looks of his tiny paws holding onto his dad's thumb, we would say he loved it. His little ears will be warm for the winter now and he can still look decent because the beanie is the same color as his fur.
Beanies for hamsters should be a normal thing, and maybe some hamster mittens too. Especially for when hibernation time comes, they can also have winter accessories to keep them warmer.
Hi There
If you have not spotted the hamster yet, she is the one hiding behind the sofa watching her da play his video games. She almost looks like a kid who should be in bed but hides behind something to watch the movie her parents are watching. Little Hazel, this hamster, looks like a teddy bear hamster and is all too cute to move away from her enjoyment of the video games.
We wondered why she wouldn’t just sit on the sofa to watch, but then remember video games can be violent and that's a better spot for her to hide away when she needs to.
Punk Rock
We have attempted to try a punk rock hairstyle sometime, and if we can do it, then so can baby hamsters, like this one. Firstly, can we just all appreciate how small this baby hamster is and how they are so much cuter when they are babies like this, especially with the punk hairstyle added to it? We would be happy to add this little hamster rock start to our baby band any day.
Tiny hamsters almost look too good to be true and whether they have rough hairdos or fluffy normal ones, they are hands down one of the more adorable animals around.
Poor Guy
Even hamsters can break their bones, and when they do they can get little casts to put on like humans do, just like this little guy. And as sad as it looks, it's so cute seeing a little hamster with his arm all bandaged up. Hamsters can fracture their legs easily by being handled incorrectly by people or having their legs trapped, usually in the hamster wheels and wired cages.
Hamster owners should remember that they are fragile animals and have very tiny bones inside their tiny bodies. And they can often be brittle if they have malnutrition as well.
Tiny Art Gallery
During the covid-19 lockdown, everyone had their own quirky and fun things they did to keep themselves entertained. So this girl and her boyfriend spent day 14 of the lockdown setting up a tiny art gallery for their pet hamster to enjoy. It had some beautiful paintings and drawings in them and of course a warning sign saying “please don’t chew” because we all know hamsters love to chew things.
As silly as an art gallery for you hamster sounds, this one really seemed to have enjoyed his special art gallery and it is clear which picture is his favorite.
Spoiled
It is great to spoil your pets, regardless of what animal they are, but this hamster got the royal treatment for his Sunday breakfast. His owners prepared him and lovely charcuterie with some different cheeses, some microgreens, tomatoes, and some small meat cuts. Not to mention, all served on a tiny board on a tiny table with a chair and tablecloth. We don’t even get this kind of treatment for Sunday breakfast.
The hamster doesn’t really understand the effort gone into his lovely breakfast spread, but you can tell he loves it regardless. What more could a hamster want for his simple life?
King
Here we have the hat of all hats, a king's hat fit for a tiny hamster. With this crown, we can only imagine he is the ruler of cuteness and he does such a good job of it. The little yellow tie underneath his face just adds to how adorable the crown hat makes him and we think he knows it too. If they give him a king’s scepter the look would be complete.
These hamster hats are getting better and better each time that we starting to think if there is ever a hamster who has not been given a hat to wear.
Pea
Happiness is this hamster, Pea, hugging the grain stick he was given like it was the greatest gift he has ever received. If you didn’t think hamsters have feelings, then this will surely change your mind on that, because hugging your food shows real emotion. Pea most likely spent a lot of time holding onto his precious food, giving it love, and taking his time savoring it when it came to eating it.
We doubt he would react the same way to broccoli though because we know grain sticks would taste way better than the raw green vegetables with better nutrients and less texture.
Cuteness
This is what you get when you put a tiny hamster, into a tiny clay cup and give him a tiny snack, cuteness, and complete happiness. And of course some chubby cheeks. The second picture of the hamster shows complete satisfaction with the little leaf he is eating, almost like we would look while eating a chocolate brownie. People just get better and better with their pictures of their hamsters.
We don’t know how they can still be cute each time they do something different and even a simple thing like this makes our hearts melt with so much joy.
Miniature Town
We have seen the dollhouses for hamsters, which are great, but these hamsters have something way better than that. This is a miniature town for hamsters which took these people 82 days to complete. It has little apartments, with bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, gym rooms, and dining rooms. It has streets with stores all kitted with relevant accessories and items and it even has a little fake beach with sand and sunset.
The hamsters love this little town and there is so much stuff for them to play with and chew and space for them to run around and they have friends to do it with.
Toast
It may look like this hamster, Toast, got electrocuted, but don’t stress, no hamsters were harmed for this look. Toast decided to have a bit of an energy buzz and ran laps behind the back of the sofa cushions, leaving him with a static hairdo from rubbing on the cushion materials. He does not look too pleased with himself, but hopefully, the hairdo will go down when he naps after burning all his energy.
His name suits his look here so well, but luckily he isn’t Toast and is just a little crazy when he has far too much energy which makes him ecstatic.
Bunny Butt
Bunny butts are usually quite cute, but a tiny hamster butt has to be way cuter. Although it looks like they have a little tucked-away bunny tail, the tiny paws and bum cheeks are so squeezable and just too cute not to look at. A picture of a hamster bum would be able to make anyone's day if it was a bad one and even if not, it would still make your day.
We know that if you own a hamster, you are most likely on your way to go look at its butt just to double-check this cuteness is real. And it won’t disappoint.
Chesus
At the church of “Chesus”, you will find this hamster preaching the world of the grated and crumbled. And it looks like his fellow hamster congregation is following his praises too. Jokes aside, we have no idea what this hamster is doing, but it looks pretty interesting and the only explanation looked like a pastor at his church sharing the word. And whatever this religion will be, we are interested.
As cute as hamsters can be, they can also do weird and wonderful things that make us question what their purpose is. Maybe one day we’ll find out unless they take over the world first.
Biscuit
This hamster, Biscuit seems to be enjoying his new hamster bed and it is just too perfect to not get one for your own hamster. It is the perfect size to fit their little bodies in and the fleece inside keeps him so snug and warm that he may not even need to burrow in a den for the hibernation season. And he has his freedom, what could be better.
This little bed is even perfect enough to put on your desk so you can watch your hamster sleep while you work. A natural stress reliever and cute desk accessory in one.
Broccoli
Celebrating your pet hamster's birthday seems to be a real thing that happens in the world. So for Biscuit's birthday, she got a pink felt birthday hat to wear, her favorite vegetable snack, raw broccoli, and a new climbing frame to add to her adventure collection. It sounds almost better than a human's birthday party. Although we would not like to have broccoli as a snack, it is the idea that counts.
We can tell Biscuit was happy with her birthday celebration by the amount of broccoli stuffed inside her cheeks. Because enough of your favorite food would make anyone's heart happy.
Hamster Box
The hamsters that play together, nap together. It is really cute how these little hamsters flatten like this when they sleep, except for the one in the front just flopped down normally, and the one between the wooden blocks that looks like he fell off them and that's how he just fell asleep. But this little hamster box seems like the place to be when it is time to sleep.
You can tell by the red glare that there is probably a heater on in here, which could explain why the top three hamsters look like they could be melting.
Piglet
A guy went through a terrible divorce and had to move into a new house, so he decided to buy himself something that would cheer him up. So he bought Piglet and we think Piglet is doing a great job of cheering this guy up. We also don’t think Piglet knows how to tell depth perception because that snack will not fit only into one cheek. At least he is cute.
We would never think a hamster would be the thing to get to cheer you up after a divorce, but after seeing Piglet and all the other hamsters, we understand how they can.
Hamster Nap
This little hamster passed out on his hamster wheel, which we can understand because we too would love to just have a nap after doing a workout on a treadmill. We do not understand how these little animals find this comfortable, especially with the wheel wiring squishing his face like that and his little legs just dangling. Perhaps we should try this on human-sized wheels, maybe these hamsters are on to something.
Although this hamster has quite a bit of space to lie on underneath him, the effort of moving off the wheel was obviously too much for his little furry body.
