Christmas is upon us and it's time for some ho ho hos. If you can't laugh a little before this merry holiday then something is wrong. Therefore, we thought it would be best to compile a whole bunch of memes for your laughing pleasure. Whether it be a dirty joke, dark humor, or something wholesome, we've got a little something for everyone. So if you want to LOL or simply giggle a little, then you have to check out these awesome Christmas memes now!
This Is What We Got for Christmas
Holidays aren't just for spreading cheer, but also for having a good time with friends as well as eating delicious food. Well, that last part has pretty much been our whole day for the past few years as there hasn't really been all that much we could do other than that. So maybe this next meme can apply to pretty much any holiday at this point, but seeing as it's Christmas, we've found one themed as such:
Anyone else? We've just been eating nonstop every day for the past ever. If you ask us what we're doing for Christmas this year, this is going to be our response.
Don't Lie About It
To those of you who are using the holidays as an excuse like we are, you might actually want to reconsider. With everything keeping us indoors, we think that it may have been a long time that we've looked like this. Maybe the same could be said for you as well? Well, don't let us tell you that. Let it be words from the mouth of this adorable French bulldog.
It's true. And after all the other holidays that have been around (we blame you, Thanksgiving!) there isn't a doubt in our minds that we have been this big since God knows when.
The Naughty List
After what has happened the past few years, we're not sure how we sit on Santa's list. We probably couldn't care any less about it at this point. We just want to make it to the sweet sweet Christmas break we so deserve. In fact, we're going to take complete control over the situation. If this next meme is anything to go by then we have nothing to worry about.
Anyone else feeling the same way? Being on the naughty list is so last decade. This year, it's about the end of the world vibes. Anything naughty goes...so long as it's legal.
What to Do With Those Coals in Your Stocking
In fact, maybe we should just go ahead and say "to heck with Christmas"! If Santa really wants to put us on the naughty list, maybe we should just let him. Who does he think he is, always judging us and deciding if we're worthy of present or not. We are, gosh darn it! If you want to give us coal in our stockings, then give us all the coal you got!
And that's how you put an end to ever celebrating Christmas again. Unless it's behind bars. How's that for a merry Christmas? Just kidding, everyone, please don't ruin Christmas for yourselves.
What to Do When You're Not Christian
Maybe some of you don't even celebrate Christmas. Are you tired of people always saying to you "merry Christmas" like they're expecting an answer back? Sometimes you just have to smile and wish them all the same because it would be more embarrassing to explain that you don't celebrate it. So you put on your best face and get into character only to end up looking like Steve Buscemi from "30 Rock".
Okay, it's probably not as serious as this, but we thought it was funny to think about. This is how some of us actually feel and we're cracking up at this right now.
Christmas Is Too Mainstream
In fact, how many people that do celebrate Christmas are actually religious? Maybe you shouldn't need to have religious reasoning to celebrate a holiday. Just look at Halloween, that's a Pagan holiday. It has no meaning to it religiously. In fact, it would be weird if it did because it's such a spooky day and we shouldn't worship spooky things. Thus, we should change Christmas into something naturalized as well.
As cute as this is, maybe it's just a better idea if we leave it how it is. Halloween is one thing, but we shouldn't ruin the holiness of Christmas, right?
Christmas in Japan
We always wondered what other countries that don't celebrate Christmas think of the holiday. Maybe not everyone knows what Christmas is, but everyone in America certainly has a basic understanding of what it is. That's why it's funny to us to think that other countries maybe haven't gotten a clear picture on it considering how big of a deal we make about it over here. One thing's for sure: Christmas is definitely not this.
We understand where the confusion might come from, but doesn't everyone know that it was Jesus who was put to the stake? And surely everyone knows Santa delivers presents, right?
Christmas Decorations
Christmas is chock full of good feelings and high spirits and the way the lengths that places go to advertise the holiday can be so special. There are so many beautiful Christmas trees decorated in the store windows and in commercials on the TV. But we can't help but wonder how something can be as perfect as this. Maybe this next meme can help shed some light on the situation.
Yeah, we kind of figured as much. We wouldn't be shocked if they spent so much time on the presentations that the Christmas trees were actually undecorated in the back.
Cooking Tips for Christmas
Christmas is also a really good time to learn some new things for your friends and family to enjoy. Many people flock to the internet to get a hold of some new info or treats that can make their Christmas this year extra special. These people found a good place to get some cooking tips for their Christmas meals, but someone decided to make it a bit more morbid this time around.
It's one of those jokes that makes you laugh for a second, but then you realize that it's horrible and you move on. But hey, at least you laughed a little.
Gingerbread Houses
This next one is also the slightest bit morbid and ironically also about food, but it certainly begs the question as to how The Gingerbread Man came into being. Like, did anyone think about what it meant that both he and his house were made of the same thing? We have to say that we have thought about this one before, but it just never seemed to make any sense. And then we saw this:
Well, now we just don't want to pass down this story! If you think too hard about it, you might realize that this story has some dark origins connected to it.
Too Real
This meme is also a little bit morbid, but it gives us another chance to see Baby Yoda! Honestly, Baby Yoda is one of the only good things to come out of this decade so far. If anything else, Baby Yoda has been able to carry us through some of the worst times throughout the pandemic. Too bad that in this meme he's pretty much making things a bit too real.
Does anyone know that feeling? Well, it couldn't be any worse than what's been going on the past few years... hopefully. Anyway, let's move on to some of the punny memes we've got in store.
For Lease
It's been though, so this year we think we can give a pass to those who need to decorate on a budget. In fact, we already found a bunch of really cool ideas to make your house the one that spreads the most holiday cheer with only a fraction of the original budget. As long as you have the right things lying around, you can make your own decorations, like this one:
This one made us laugh. Who would have thought that a sign like this could be recycled into a nice holiday message? We wonder if they're also actually leasing the house.
Egg Nog
As long as we're doing dad jokes, then we should probably add another one, huh? We find that the best dad jokes are delivered via cute animals in meme form. While we would typically seek out that laughing husky with all the dad jokes, seeing as it's about to be Christmas, we thought it would be best to find something that fits the themes. So here's your Christmas dose of dad-joke-dog.
This one's a pretty good one if we do say so ourselves. Although to be fair, the joke isn't really that good at all. But we're just in it for the dog.
The IKEA Tree
We love IKEA as much as the next person, but it always seems like the more affordable option has us setting up and building each and every piece of furniture we get. But the thing is they have basically everything we need, so we don't see any reason to NOT go to IKEA. Maybe eventually they'll even sell us our holiday needs. We think that it would look something like this:
"Some assembly required". We hope no one was actually going through the trouble of making a Christmas tree this way. They'd probably meet Santa himself before this works out.
Purhell
And this is exactly what we mean by that. This picture may have been from last year's Christmas, but we think it could still be relevant now. These days we haven't really had a whole lot of progress with the Corona situation, so it's not looking to be much better anytime soon. That's why we think that someone needs to retake this picture, updated for the current date, of course.
We hope you are all remembering to stay safe out there. Vaccinations don't mean anything if you aren't still keeping yourself sanitized. Maybe we can get these printed on some hand sanitizer?
Good Luck Cat Owners
You may not have thought that the last couple of years were as bad as everyone says they are. Maybe you've been relatively unharmed by the pandemic and you haven't had that big of a shift in your lifestyle. Well, if that's the case, then you really are lucky. But, we have to warn you: if you own a cat, chances are that this holiday will be just as "purhell" as every other one.
By why exactly must they do that? Why must they destroy everything that we find holy? Well, allow us to attempt to explain it through yet another adorable cat meme.
Seriously Good Luck
We personally think that cats are evil and want to destroy everything that we hold dear. That's just in their nature, but they make us look past it by controlling us with their cuteness. Only the cutest of cats can pull off a maneuver such as this. Oh, who are we kidding? Probably every cat on the planet can make us turn a blind eye to the destruction. Though it's probably more like this:
Yeah, that's what we thought. As it turns out, cats just want to own you. They want to be the only thing you care about. Too bad the world can't actually work that way...
Family Photo
There are some people who love to take photos of their families at the high holidays because it's the perfect time to capture a memory. These can be pretty formal, so sometimes they decide to also bring in the pets for a holiday picture. Thank God people actually do this because if they didn't we wouldn't be able to see any pictures of animals being nearly as silly as this:
This is definitely the mood. Well, hopefully, it'll be better this year compared to last year's celebrations, but we feel you, dog. This image is giving us life right now.
This Is the Wrong Movie
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" has got to be one of the best movies to watch during the holidays. It's one of those classics that you just have to put on every year because of tradition, even if you don't love the movie all that much. But we do love the movie, so when we saw this next meme we knew something was up. And it seems the creator knew that as well.
Yeah, we're not exactly sure what's going on here. This can't NOT be the right movie, right? Though the mood definitely seems to be a bit off this time around...
Too Far
Do you know those people who go way out of their way to celebrate Christmas? IT's like this is the only time of the year that they can go wild with whatever the heck they want. You can tell who those people are pretty easily just by looking at the house they live in. It's usually decorated up the wazoo with crazy amounts of lights and gain blow-up dolls.
Yeah, sometimes people are just a bit too crazy about Christmas. Though who can blame them? It's the one time of year that our parents will actually give us presents.
Always Watching
Speaking of the giant blow-up dolls, this next meme puts one of those to perfect use. There's a song that sings of Santa Claus and how he knows if you've been naughty or nice during the year. One of the lines goes, "He sees you when you're sleeping; he knows when you're awake; he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake". It's admittedly very threatening.
We definitely think that this was done on purpose, though. Either that or this family just had a really bad time being scared out of sleep. We'd have peed our pants.
Always Judging
And while we're on the subject, who the heck does Santa Claus think he is anyway? He just sits back in his little getaway house in The North Pole deciding whether or not we have the right to receive any gifts. Does he think he's God or something? Because one thing's for sure: there is no way that anyone is going to get in the way of our presents. And no cookies for him, either.
This meme couldn't have summed up our feelings towards the man any better than this. Maybe we don't want Santa around anymore. He just seems like a bit of a creep these days.
Always Your Friend
But let's be real: there's no way you can actually hate Santa, is there? Without Santa, there wouldn't be any presents. And yes, we know that Santa isn't real and is just a way for parents to make an excuse for their children to behave themselves. But when it comes down to it, that is literally the reason we get presents. So you can't hate him for real. Not even this kid can:
See that? Even if he is watching us when we're sleeping, he's certainly a pretty cool dude. Okay, that sounds a little weird, but what other holiday can you see something like this?
Even Man's Best Friend
Speaking of having love for Santa, here are some more wholesome memes! There is this one dog who just can't get enough of Santa. She even has a Santa Claus stuffed toy! It's actually, like, the cutest thing we've seen in a long time. And because she has a special toy like this, her owners decided it would be a great idea to bring her to see the big man himself!
This is honestly so precious. Our hearts are melting right out of our mouths. We've never seen a dog so happy to see Santa and now we want to bring ours to him too.
Mood
And as long as we're on the topic of animals and Christmas, we've got another meme to help explain our feelings this year using a precious little kitten. It's been another long, tough year so whatever holiday it might be we're just so exhausted and ready to move on that our holiday spirit is drained. Hopefully, when it comes to 2020 you won't have to see us looking like this anymore:
Though, after looking at these adorable animals, we are starting to get our mojo back. Maybe cute animals are the solution to everything! If only that were actually mildly true.
You Better Like It
Now it's time for us to focus on the adults in the family. We all know at this point (hopefully this isn't spoilers to everyone) that Santa isn't real and that the real Santa Claus is the parents standing in the back of the room watching you open your presents. Well, this is how we envision them standing there every time just hoping that they got the right thing for their kids:
It's such a serious event that we had to pull out another Baby Yoda meme to properly convey the message we were trying to send. Does anyone else see their parents doing this?
OMG No Way
And then finally the child opens those presents and they find the thing they were hoping for all year! But, of course, many of them haven't yet realized the truth: that their parents are the real ones listening to their requests and searching for the things that make them the happiest. But they have to pretend like they had no idea that Santa was so smart. It's basically exactly this:
Like "no wayyy! How did he know??" It's definitely a wholesome moment to see your kids getting their gifts, but you have to wonder how they'll react to the truth.
Got 'Em Good
We've even got one for the folks at home whose kids already know that there is no such thing as Santa Claus. For you, we can imagine you telling your kids that you aren't getting them such and such gift because it's too expensive or they're too old--basically whatever lies you tell your kid to trick them. Then you bring out your kid and smirk as they gasp at how impossible it is to convince you to get what they want.
Yeah, we see you back there, acting all smart and cute. Well, we love it. Please keep bringing in the unexpected gifts and gaining pleasure from being the best parents ever.
Oh Dad
And then there are those kids who get their parents a present as well. What they don't know is that their father is hiding yet another secret: he's a master jokester! As every dad should be, the typical father knows exactly what to say in ways that make him seem foolish and silly all in an attempt to entertain the children. It probably looks something like this every Christmas day:
Ah, dads. How silly can they be? Maybe this year we'll actually get him a cardboard box and see how he reacts. (Don't worry, we will also get something nice.)
The Perks of Being Alone
Maybe some of you don't have any family to celebrate the holiday with. Whether that means they've moved on or that they're n another country, it can be pretty hard to have to go through a once celebrated holiday all alone. But hey, look on the bright side: according to these memes, you don't have to spend that money on anyone else but yourself! Though maybe that's not the best thing to be happy about.
Whatever the case may be, we all need to remember that we're never truly alone. On the internet, it doesn't matter who you are. There are always going to be people there to keep you company.
The Worst Part
Though maybe for some of you the problem isn't not having any family around. Maybe it's the paradox of choice that's bringing you down. What kind of gifts should you get for your friends, your family? What kind of gifts do you want to receive? These are the tougher questions this holiday season as there is just so much to choose from and so little time before you need it delivered.
Or maybe you're crying because you know that all the things you want are things you're never going to get. In that case, we're sorry, but we feel for you.
Just a Little More to Go
Finally, it's been a very long year yet again. We're wondering if we'll ever get a break from all of the past few years' crazy twists and turns. We just want one year where things are looking good year-round. But it seems that's always far out of reach. At the very least, we enjoy our Christmas when it finally rolls around. Hopefully, we'll have a good end to a bad year.
Until then, we hope you enjoyed all these Christmas memes. Like it says above, you only have a few more mental breakdowns to go and you'll be home free.
How Ready Are You
But don't worry, we have a few onus ones for you today. But first, we need to ask you: how ready are you for Christmas? Because we're super ready. Like, we're about as ready as anyone can be for this year's Christmas. We may not be able to go anywhere this tie around, but we'll be able to spend time with the people we enjoy the most. Or not, if that's your thing.
So get ready, because it's almost time! We hope you get the most wonderful gifts you could ask for this year. And if all goes well, maybe Santa will bring us a cure to Covid.
Remember to Smile
No matter what's going on in your life, whether everything is going great or you're having a hard time, it's always important to smile. It may not be as simple as that to help you feel good, but studies have shown that smiling might actually make you feel happier. So no matter what you've got going on, you should try walking in with a smile so that you can feel the best.
And if that's too hard, then you can have a sibling help you out just like the duo above. It may not be the best solution but whatever works, huh?
Merry Christmas
But before we go, can we just talk about this for a second? "The Flintstones" has been around so long that not only did our parents grow up on it, so did we! So when we saw this next meme, it really got us thinking. When we used to watch it, it was so normal to see them doing many of the same things as we do today, including... Christmas??
Yes, that's right. In order to make a cartoon that really connects with the audience, sometimes you have to forgo any plot points that make too much sense. Did any of you notice this yourself?
