Animals just so happen to be some of the cutest creatures on this planet. To be fair, they make up most of the life on this planet (that have brains), so it was highly likely that most of them would be cute. And they sure are. They are out there just trying to mind their own business, but we can't allow that, can we? As they are some of what makes this planet so great, we can't help but bother them by getting their attention and taking pictures when they're just trying to do their own thing. So we collected a whole bunch of pictures below so that you can see all the animals that we can't help but not ignore. Enjoy!
Alpaca Pals
You may already know how adorable alpacas can be, but if you haven't spent all that much time around the furry fellas, you probably haven't been able to bear witness to just how cute they can actually get. Not to worry because we have an image here that should prove beyond a doubt that these guys are no joke. Cuddling and kissing are just some of the things they do...
...But did you know they could smile?! These guys are quite literally living, breathing stuffed animals. It's almost unreal just how precious they are. It makes us wonder why they are not house pets themselves.
Hearty
This little calf is really trying to mind its own business. We have no idea what it's trying to do right now, but the way it's looking back and the shape of those birthmarks on its bum and head make it clear that this little one doesn't get much alone time. To be fair, how often is it that a calf is born with perfect yin-yang-style heart birthmarks? Not often.
So we don't think this one is going to get much alone time for the rest of its life. Luckily, it seems too cute to end up on our plate one day.
BFFs
These people caught their dog in the most precious moment of its life. Typically you might be wary if a raccoon approaches your furry friend, but apparently, overt friendliness is on the agenda for this sneaky thief. And it seems to have worked out really well for the raccoon. If there's anything that we can tell from this picture it's that the dog and the raccoon have become fast friends.
We wish we could leave these two alone for even just a second, but when you've got something like this going on you can't help but reach for the camera.
If You Like It
Clearly, that raccoon was doing something right because instead of food or a warm bed to sleep in, it was offered a marriage proposal. Now, obviously, no one is actually trying to marry this little furball, but the reaction that the raccoon had to the proposal is actually priceless. In fact, it acted like many people would when they are proposed to. It truly is at a loss for words right now.
Do you think it accepted the proposal? We can't imagine that raccoon keeping its hands off of the ring even if it did know what was going on. It's quite shiny, after all.
Happy Goat
There are plenty of animals out there that we don't get to spend enough time with. One of those animals is the simple goat who does nothing to try to entertain us at the petting zoo. That's why we weren't aware that these little guys can actually have quite the happy personality when you're able to spend some good alone time with them. Did you know that they, too, have the cutest smiles?
First the alpaca, and now this. Next, you're going to tell us that fish can smile too. Well, probably some species out there can, but we will believe it when we see it.
Lazy Bums
What do you do when you own a couple of pooches whose only desire in life is to sit in the exact same position at all times at the back of a jeep? Well, obviously, the only thing to do in a situation like this is to take a picture of them and use it as the image for the spare tire cover. That way everyone can see what these two are like.
They are lazy, uninspired, and just some of the cutest doggos we have ever seen! We're glad someone took the time out of their day to troll the dogs like this.
Lazy Bum II
But it's not just dogs whose owners can't just level them alone to do whatever they want, whenever they want. There are also plenty of cats out there whose habits around the house aren't all that unpredictable. This cat specifically loves to sit in the same position on the couch multiple times a day, so his owners also got him a similar portrait, only this time it is an illustration.
Listen, if our pets ever become this predictable then we are also going to troll them like this. Seeing a pet do a weird thing is one thing, but seeing how common it is and then installing it on your wall is another thing entirely.
Feather Head
We walk around all the time (maybe less so in the days of the pandemic), so it's not all that surprising to find out that there are a lot of weird things going on around you that you might not notice. In fact, the people on the street might be distracting you from the real performance: weirdo pigeons. They may not interest you all that much, but what if you saw something like this:
"Don't mind me, just walking with a feather on my head", it's probably thinking. But we can't help but to mind this. What is even happening here and how did the feather get there?
Kitty Fertilizer
They say to always let sleeping dogs lie, but what are you supposed to do when you walk up on a litter of kittens sleeping together in a flowerpot? Are you really expected to just continue on like it's nothing? If you ask us, there is no way in heck that anyone could do that. You would have to be both very allergic to as well as hate all cats to ignore this:
In fact, anyone who does is probably up to no good. This is the kind of thing you can only see in dreams or when it's staged... wait, could it be? Nah, we don't even want to know.
Tiny Bunny
There are lots of kinds of rabbit-like creatures out there. You've got the hare--longer ears and a bigger body--the cute little bunny, and, of course, your standard rabbit. Although there may be more and two of those are technically the same, we'll bet that there is one thing you have yet to see: a perfectly spherical, smaller than the palm of your hand-sized bunny. Luckily for you, we've got that covered.
Now that you've seen the cutest rabbit on earth waiting for his ride, you can live and die happy. All we want to do when we see this is scoop the little thing up and nuzzle it with our faces.
Spotted
One person thought that they could be clever and set up a camera to spy on their beloved pooch. But it turns out that they weren't quite slick enough because while trying to mind his own business, this good boy knocked down and found the camera that was doing the spying. Now all that can be seen is the dog's look of disappointment at the lack of trust and privacy afforded by his hooman.
Who could blame them though? If you had the choice to watch your dog's each and every move, wouldn't you do it? They're just too precious to leave on their own and ignore.
Hoo Is That Supposed to Be
If you cut into an apple the right way, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the core is housing all of the seeds in a star-shaped chamber. But what exactly happens when you cut it the opposite way? That's something one person found out after they cut their apple in half--and it turns out that it just so happened to look like a familiar pet bird that's always skulking around at night.
"Is this you? Is this your family, Archimedes," we can imagine the owner saying as her pet owl tries to do its own thing. Also, we really hope owl owners consider this name for their pets.
That's Embarrasing
We've seen a family graft the daily routines of their dogs onto their car and another family affix their cat's lazy disposition to the wall behind its favorite chair, but we still have yet to see a family memorialize their pet's most embarrassing moment. Well, coincidentally, we have exactly what you're looking for. Check out this cat who had a near-death experience while out in the snow one fateful day:
The look the cat is giving the owner is something along the lines of "seriously, this picture?" We would have to agree that this is the most appropriate photo to put up of your cat.
Sorry Not Sorry
Sometimes your pet is doing something they shouldn't, and they know it. For most dogs, this would be tearing something up or chewing on important things. For a cat, this might mean knocking things over (which, to be fair is also a dog thing) or scratching things with their claws and leaving unsightly marks. For this cat, the latter was what he was caught doing red-handed, but instead of running, he decided to take his mugshot right there.
As cute as this smiling kitty is, you can tell that it has no remorse for the closet behind it. We just hope that the family does not scratch back.
Felinasauras-Rex
Sometimes your pet could be doing absolutely nothing but minding its own business and even then we can't help but to go over and bother it--um, we mean give it love and attention! That's right, in no way was anyone ever planning on making their cat even cuter by forcing it into one of those face cutout standees. No, someone was simply planning on putting some cardboard with a drawing over its head!
While you might think that that's the same thing... it is. We just wanted it to seem cuter. But don't listen to us, keep staring at this adorable little Felinasauras-rex.
Koala Cub
When an animal is trying to sleep, that is when it is at its cutest (at least, its cutest resting position, no pun intended). We all know how annoying it is to be bothered while trying to take a nap, but sometimes you can't help but to go and check on the little guy. And when it comes to koalas who can sleep for up to 20 hours a day, you bet we're taking a minute to get pictures.
After all, these creatures spend most of their time sleeping where no one can disturb them, so we think they have a few seconds to spare to humor us.
Sleepy Squirrels
These guys might not be so happy about the wake-up call, though. After all, squirrels are some of the most skittish animals that we see on a daily basis, so we'd assume they want to be left alone. The problem with that, though, is that squirrels are also really cute, but unless you own one you're probably not going to get a chance to see it at its best. These folks got lucky, though:
A family of squirrels just so happened to make their nest in front of a window, so the people who took this photo got to see the rare moment when a squirrel is sleeping and looks much more domesticated.
Cat House
When you've had a long day at work, the only real thing you want to do is get home and relax for a little bit. Chores can come after you finish watching your favorite show. One cat really seems to understand this feeling because its family made for it a cozy little apartment complete with a tiny little cat bed, a toy, a rug, and a TV. Everything it needs!
But a cat in a tiny apartment is simply too cute, so when the cat got back home for the evening, it found itself to be a part of prime-time television itself.
Stick Library
You wouldn't expect dogs to be overly organized with their thins. If they were, they probably wouldn't be dogs, or at the very least we wouldn't be picking up their poo. But as it turns out, dogs can learn to put things away and share them with others too. This one park has a "stick library" for all the other dogs to rent out for some time, and they all love it.
So when this black lab went for a stick of its own, the proud parent needed to snap a quick pic. As embarrassing as posing for a random mom-pic might be, we're glad it turned out.
Just a Taste
When you're really thirsty, you might drink any water that seems good enough at the time. For one fox, that was the water from the rain that had stuck to someone's back door. When they happened upon the fox licking up their glass, they just had to capture it on film. It's not often you get to see an elusive creature such as this taking a much-needed water break.
Though it looks like she just wants some time to herself. She wasn't really trying to get involved in anything, just trying to get some hydration going on in her body.
Comfortable Anywhere
Dogs will literally sleep anywhere and in any which way they feel comfortable. This can lead to some pretty crazy sleeping positions. So when the owner of this doggo walked in on her sleeping like this, they did not know what else they could do but reach for their camera. But as much as we agree that was the right call, this dog doesn't seem to have the same idea.
She seems pretty miffed about being woken up in the middle of a nice nap. Don't worry, sweet girl, you can go back to whatever that is in just a minute.
Pretty Princess
We all know how much fun it is to go out trick or treating on Halloween. That is why when we saw that there was a dog who was also partaking in the festivities, we weren't at all shocked. But what was shocking was just how cute this little fairy pitbull girl looked. All decked out in some pretty pink wings, we know she's going to get some candy tonight.
But before she goes out, mama has to take a quick picture, you know how it is. "But it's embarrassing, mom. I just want some candy," is what that face says to us.
Perfect Calm
If you are unfamiliar with the capybara, it is one of the largest, if not the largest, rodents on the planet. Think of a giant guinea pig and you'll basically understand this creature. One person just so happened to capture a capybara in its happy place, silently meditating. It is so focused that it doesn't even notice that a bird has nestled on its snout. That's some real focus right there.
We never knew just how zen these creatures could be. We wonder if this helps it reach some sort of enlightenment in its life. Maybe we'll find out one day.
A Quick Rinse
Apparently, they also like to be zen in the shower. In this next picture, two capybaras are calmly relaxing under a steady stream of water. We are not sure it was entirely appropriate to take a picture of them while they are showering, but we do have to say that this is a scene that we will be remembering for a long time. Just look at this level of cuteness:
There's just something so interesting about these giant rodents taking a peaceful bath together. We don't think we've seen anything quite like this recently. We hope we get to see more.
Parkour
We knew that raccoons were the thieves of the night, but it seems that they may also have a bit of training in the art of the ninja. This raccoon has spent all day and all night trying to perfect its technique and it won't stop until it is able to climb this tree with no effort at all... except, can't they already do that? What exactly is going on here?
Whatever it is, we're interested. If there is a raccoon out there learning some form of martial arts, we have got to see it. Though the FBI might get to it first.
Fine Dining
When you've got a big, fluffy polar bear for a dog, there is no way you can resist getting all up in its business. These dogs are so big and fluffy that the only thing you can think to do is hug them tight. But in a classy setting such as this, you have to make sure that you don't cause a big scene. After all, everyone is just trying to enjoy dinner.
But one picture couldn't hurt, right? Of course not. In fact, this picture is probably going to helo out a lot of people just based on the cute factor alone.
Playing With Food
This panda is so excited about its food that it even wore some of it as a hat! We already knew that pandas were one of the cutest bear species on the planet, but this is taking it to the next level. We're sorry if the camera all up in your face is bothering you during your meal, but there's no way you can blame us for wanting this picture, right?
If we saw something like this on our morning walk, we'd probably just stand there and watch this panda do its thing. Just look at it munch at the leaf!
I Am the Captain Now
Having a view of the lake is nice, but what's nicer is being able to drive your own speed boat. It would be a pretty normal activity for someone who lives by the water, but in this case, there was something so unusual that it had to be captured on film. Apparently, this walrus decided that the boat life was for him. There would be no more swimming from this day forward.
We're just wondering how he managed to get his hands, er, flippers on this boat. Who in the heck wasn't paying attention as a 2000 pound animal hopped in their boat??
Scaredy Cat
Usually when you want to go play with dolls or "action figures" (what do dinosaur toys count as?) you go do it somewhere where you can use your imagination to its fullest. For some people, that's away from any prying eyes that might want to get into your business. This cat feels that way, so when it was snuck upon for a picture while playing, it got one of nine lives scared out of it.
We probably would have had the same reaction. If you're going to be taking a picture of someone, you should probably give them some fair warning before you pop out of nowhere.
It's Not What It Looks Like
Sometimes you just want to have some one-on-one time with your best friend. But that's not always easy when you've got roommates. It can be pretty difficult when people are around to find that moment with each other where you're all alone and the scene is all romantic. But even if that's the case, people really need to have the decency to knock on the door first so they're not caught in the act.
You saw what happened with the dinosaur kitty, so why are you still fooling around like this. In all seriousness, though, if this is the future of cats and dogs, our lives have been completed.
Off to Adventure
This turtle has just begun a grand journey. After hatching, the turtle prepares itself for its newest skill and favorite activity: body surfing The young turtle lifts its fins in anticipation of the long-awaited day that he would go out to sea all on his own and look for his rightful place in a group of other turtles. We hope the photographer isn't ruining this moment for him at all.
Even so, this has got to be one of the most precious things we have ever seen. Who knew that these little guys could have such a fiery spirit in them?
Any Time Now
Don't mind this cat, he's just trying to make some food for himself. Though it seems that no one has ever told her that watched paint never dries. While this isn't exactly a paint job drying on a wall, it does say something about how fun it must be to watch pizza bake. But it seems that she is determined to see it through and watch it until it's ready.
We wish her luck as she spends what is probably upwards of 30 minutes sitting in front of that oven. Maybe it'll taste all that much better when it's done.
The Star of the Show
This seal is pretty used to the spotlight at this point. As much as it wants to mind its own business, he is part of a larger organization that makes money off of his fame. Though it's not all that bad. He gets yummy fish snacks, has a bunch of friends to play with, and gets the best treatment in the world. So every now and then he gives a wave to his fans.
At least one animal here is a good sport. Though maybe we should give him a break for a day so he can have some time out of the spotlight.
Catraoke
Speaking of spotlights, it seems we have another pet who doesn't mind being the center of attention. And we love a good pet who doesn't mind trying to be a little photogenic. So when it came time for another photo shoot, this cat decided it would have some fun with it. She decided that she would show off her karaoke talents while her owners took some well-deserved snapshots.
We wonder if this cat is actually any good. We haven't heard of too many singing cats, so we are going to have to try hearing this for ourselves.
Ultimate Sheeb
This whole time we have been showing you animals who are just trying to do their own thing, but their owners just couldn't handle leaving them be. This time around, this dog's parents went so far as to show off their furry friend to the whole neighborhood! It's one thing to disturb your pet for a quick photo op, but it's another thing to invade their privacy like this.
Then again, we're actually quite glad that they put it up. Just look at that smile! Is this not the cutest sheeb you have ever seen? What a lucky parent.
